Healthy soil is integral to plant health
Network of insects and beneficial bacteria working underground forming an intricate natural system
Landscape is only as healthy as its soil
Plants growing in a healthy environment have a much higher success rate
Healthy soil holds more moisture
Provides support to plants

Preparing your Garden 
New Garden
Soil Test
Examine existing soil – Is it sandy? Clay? A mix?
Mix black soil, manure, and sweet soil from local nursery
Work the soil and mix to a depth of at least 18 inches
Continue building soil throughout season
